This course explores the human being in Islam through an extensive analysis of human nature and the human constituents and the Islamic approach to those constituents. Furthermore, it explores the relationship between the human constituents and the purposes of human creation. Finally, it examines the effect of deep reflection on human nature and human creation purposes in relation to advancing civilisation.

This course provides a broad knowledge of and an in-depth insight into the history of Qatar from its days as a society, based on pearl diving and maritime trade, to its development into a traditional Arabian Gulf sheikhdom and then a modern state. Included in the curriculum is an extensive discussion of Qatar’s cultures and traditions stemming from its pre-modern maritime and desert societies. The last aspect is contemporary Qatar and its global role as the world’s wealthiest country.

This course offers the basics for starting essential conversations in Arabic through engaging videos that feature native Arabic speakers and numerous interactive learning activities.
