Dr. Abdulqader Al-Qahtani is a Professor of Modern and Contemporary History at Qatar University. Dr. Al-Qahtani earned his PhD in Modern and Contemporary History from Ain Shams University in Egypt. He worked in academic institutions for more than twenty-six years and had an extensive list of published articles in peer-reviewed journals. He also reviewed numerous research papers and attended international, regional, and local conferences. Furthermore, he presented at and led seminars and workshops, as well as volunteered in national cultural and sport activities.

Al-Qahtani’s research interests include the modern and contemporary history of the Arabian Peninsula, Qatar and the Arab Gulf.
